GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Michelin Earthmover line of super-deep XSM™ D2+ radial tires helps deliver maximum machine productivity and low operating costs for wheel loaders and haulers working in solid waste handling, underground mining and severe quarry conditions.
The super L5 XSM D2+ is designed to offer maximum protection from crown and sidewall damage to keep machines operating and increase productivity. With the deepest Michelin tread available and a special rubber compound to resist wear in highly abrasive conditions, the XSM D2+ delivers low cost-per-hour through extended tire life and outstanding damage resistance.
The XSM D2+ features a specialized, heavy-duty Michelin steel radial design, which provides a large ground contact area that delivers excellent traction in harsh site conditions. The radial design also provides easy handling and operator comfort by absorbing shocks and jolts.
“Many waste handling professionals are successfully running these tires in applications where foam-filling or chains were previously the only viable options,” said Tomas Bennett, market segment manager for waste management at Michelin. “XSM D2+ helps them avoid the drawbacks of using tire foam, while boosting productivity and greatly extending tire life.”
The XSM D2+ is currently available in the following sizes: 12.00R24, 14.00R24, 17.5R25, 18.00R25, 26.5R25, 35/65R33 and 45/65R45.
